If you are new to the blog, Welcome! 😊🥳
If you’ve already been reading my blog posts, then you probably realize that I’m a Bookish 20-something Post-grad student who knows a thing or two about surviving college without becoming a zombie.
When I started my freshman year of college, I was scared out of my mind. I didn’t have much guidance and things felt like they were going a billion miles per hour!
Not only did I have to juggle classes being a full-time College student, but I also had to work part-time and find time for socializing. It was a lot to take in and I had to figure out my way through it all.
There was no “playbook” to go by. Believe me, I’ve read like a thousand books 📖 but none gave me any insight on how to make it through those grueling all-night study sessions without wanting to cry, lol!
But once I got the hang of things (and caught up on some sleep), college started to become fun again. Great parties, no parents around, and friends – what’s not to love?
Though it can be tough while you’re in college, knowing that you will graduate with more knowledge than when you first started is enough to ease your mind. It also helps to be organized.📝⌚
Luckily, I was a pro at planning and journaling (it’s the wonderful side effect of being a bookworm and having obvious affection for words). And it has saved me from feeling overwhelmed.
As I was nearing graduation🎓, I felt like things were getting real. Like, really real! Suddenly all of the decisions I’d made in college seemed to matter a whole lot more – and they all had life-altering consequences.
That’s when I realized how important our early twenties are. They are jam-packed with life-changing events, memorable milestones, and lots of “what in the world am I doing?” moments.
That’s why I started this blog – to share all the highs and lows of college life, give advice on how to survive it, and spread the word about why your twenties are so important.
My goal is to help you get through College and make Surviving Adulthood just a little easier.
P.S.: I live and breathe words. Which is a dramatic way of saying that I really love books. I take a book with me everywhere I go.
I love medieval fantasy, the dark academia genre, and anything that has to do with the word ‘Gothic’. Wuthering heights is my all-time favorite classic.
P.S.S.: I am constantly trying to update my wardrobe and not look like a rumpled pigeon. Our Sense of Style has such an impact on how people regard us – so why not take advantage of it?
Whether it is studying all night or partying hard until dawn, my blog will show you how to make the most out of these incredible years with the help of my bookish wisdom.
I’m here to share my college experiences, give you insight 🔍🕵🏼♀️ on how to make it through those stressful situations without shedding a tear, and provide tips on how to always look your best.
Together we can learn how to survive adulthood while having all the fun that comes with being a student.
