Don’t worry, though. I have a few tricks up my sleeve to show you how to stay organized and beat procrastination! You can become the captain of your own ship and defeat procrastination once and for all with these great strategies.
So without further ado, here is my guide to submitting those college assignments on time!
Submitting Assignments on Time: Tips from a College Student Who Has Been There, Done That
We’ve all been there: It’s 11 p.m., and you’ve got an assignment due tomorrow morning. You’ve been “working” on it for hours but still don’t have a finished product. Sounds familiar doesn’t it?
It’s no secret that college assignments can be a real pain in the neck. I’ve been through my fair share of last-minute scrambles to get an assignment done before the due date.

But I’ve also learned a few tricks along the way to know that submitting assignments on time is not an impossible feat.
So, as a college student who has been in your shoes, I’m here to help you out.
1. Start early (Stop groaning so loudly, I can hear you😏!)
It seems like the moment you enter college, they start piling on the assignments! It’s almost as if they’re testing how fast you can work and how much pressure you can handle.
But don’t worry – there’s a clever way to beat the system; Start Early! The more time you have, the better you can prepare and modify your assignments to get good grades.
For example, instead of trying to write all those five essays in one day(I had days like that!), break it up into smaller tasks like researching for essays the first day and then writing them the next two days.
It may take some time to get used to this method, but it’s definitely worth it when you submit your assignments on time and without any last-minute panicking.
Avoid procrastination as much as you can. The more you keep on top of things in the early stages, the less you’ll have to worry about doing it at the last minute.
2. Do you know when your Assignments are due?
It’s important to know your due dates. I mean really know them—not just write them down on a piece of paper and forget about them. That’s what so many of us do—we write down the due dates somewhere and forget about it all together.
And if you forget when they’re due, you won’t be able to submit them on time. Which defeats the whole point of writing them down in the first place! We need to be able to do better than that.
The best way to remember your assignment due dates is to have a system in place. Make sure that you write down the due dates and set reminders on your phone or calendar. You can also use an assignment planner—it’s like a to-do list for assignments.
Break down your assignments into small tasks with due dates, and make sure you check them off as you go. This is the best way to stay organized and keep track of all of your due dates.

3. Set Deadlines for Yourself: How to submit your Assignments on time
It’s no secret that college assignments can be really time-consuming and stressful. But if you want to make sure you submit your work on time, there’s nothing better than setting deadlines for yourself!
Not only is this a great way to stay organized and accountable, but it also helps to keep procrastination at bay.

Instead of leaving everything until the night before, give yourself specific goals that need to be completed – such as “I will research my essay by Tuesday” or “I will complete my presentation slides by Friday”.
By having these mini targets set out ahead of time, you’ll be able to stay on top of your workload better.
4. Motivation is everything!
Motivation plays a major role in submitting college assignments on time. It’s easy to get sidetracked when you don’t have that extra push to stay focused and finish your tasks on time.
If you find yourself procrastinating and falling behind on your assignments, set yourself a goal. Whether it’s taking five minutes every hour to complete one paragraph or aiming to finish a task before the day ends, having tangible goals will help keep you motivated.
You can also reward yourself after each task, like taking a 10-minute break (make sure to not extend it to an hour) or getting ice cream from your favorite store.
4. Take a break maybe?
Sometimes we all just need a bit of “procrastination motivation.” That means taking the time to motivate yourself to do the task at hand and make it more enjoyable.
Whether it’s listening to music, reading a book, or watching a Netflix show, taking small breaks can help you stay focused on the task at hand and make sure that your assignments are submitted on time.
5. Assignment Planners? More like Lifesavers
Assignment planners can be a lifesaver for college students!
Not only do they help you keep track of upcoming assignments and due dates, but they also give you the motivation to keep up with your work.
When you can see everything laid out in front of you, it becomes easier to prioritize tasks and manage your time. Plus, having a physical plan in front of you is a lot harder to ignore than just a reminder on your phone.

6. Get yourself an Accountability partner
Having an accountability partner can not only help you stay motivated and organized, but it can also give you a sense of humor when things get really tough!
Think about it: having someone who knows exactly what you’re going through can make it so much easier to laugh off a challenge or find creative solutions.
For instance, if you’re struggling with writer’s block on an essay assignment, having an accountability partner can help get your creative juices flowing. You could joke around and come up with funny titles for your essay or brainstorm a list of puns to use throughout the paper.
Or, if you’re having trouble getting started on a project, your accountability partner can help by offering ideas or motivating words of encouragement.
It can also be helpful to have an accountability buddy when it comes to actually finish assignments on time. Instead of putting off a project until the last minute, you can set reminders and deadlines with your buddy to make sure everything gets done on time.
Plus, it’s always nice to have someone to celebrate with when the assignment is finally complete!
7. Remind yourself Why it is important!
Submitting your college assignments on time is so important! Nothing says “I’m an adult” like being able to manage your own time and complete tasks ahead of the deadline.
8. Think about the consequences of not submitting assignments on time
Not submitting college assignments on time can have serious consequences. You’ll be missing out on the opportunity to get your work graded and improve your grades, making it difficult to pass your classes.
You may also risk being penalized for late submission, which could result in a lower grade or even have your work rejected. Not to mention, you may also face disciplinary action from the college or university.
Remember that submitting assignments on time is an essential part of success in college and in life!
So make sure you take the time to plan ahead and submit your work on time!
