When I started college, I was filled with ambition but no game plan. 🎯🎳 I had all these ideas of what I wanted to do and accomplish but felt overwhelmed with the amount of work that lay ahead.
Procrastination became my friend and my grades suffered as a result. I felt stuck in a rut and knew I had to do something to get out of it. That’s when I decided to try writing down my goals.
I wrote down the courses I wanted to take, the grades I wanted to get, and even how many hours of studying I should do each day. I put my plans in a visible spot so that they could serve as a reminder of why I was working so hard and what I wanted to achieve.
And I am here to report that writing down my goals was one of the best journaling decisions I ever made! (If you are frowning at the ‘journaling decisions’ part …Yeah, I am kind of a journal junkie who has about 956 rules when it comes to my journaling routine).
It felt like having a little cheer squad pushing me toward success, and it helped me stay focused on the things that mattered.
Instead of getting sucked into procrastination, I was actively taking steps toward reaching my goals. The best part was that I could actually measure my progress and see how far I had come! 🥳🎆

Writing down my goals helped me stay motivated and on track, and I was able to avoid distractions along the way. It also allowed me to be proactive in tackling assignments and studying.
Instead of panicking the night before exams, I was able to plan ahead and know exactly what I had to do.
Today, writing down my goals is still a habit that I follow. It has helped me achieve success in college and beyond by giving me something tangible to focus on and stay motivated.
If you’re feeling stuck and need an extra push📍, I highly recommend giving it a try. You’ll be amazed by how much it can help!
