My study session routine is basically an art form. I know what works for me and it has served me well so far.
Before I even start studying, I make sure to have the right playlist ready. It has to be something motivational and upbeat 🎵 but not too distracting. Once that is done, I make a trip to the kitchen to get some snacks and a drink. I like to have something sweet and salty on hand, just in case I need a little snack break.

(If I’m feeling too boujee, I make it a point to visit my local coffee shop to get my caffeine fix. And without fail, it’s always a Peppermint Mocha latte 🍀🧋 – with some extra foam.)
Once I’m settled in my studying spot with all the snacks and drinks, it’s time to get down to business! I like to break my studying into chunks. For example, I might spend 30 minutes reading and taking notes on a chapter of a textbook, then 30 minutes doing practice problems related to what I just read. This helps keep me motivated and makes for a more enjoyable studying experience.
In between study sessions, I always like to give my brain a break. For me, that usually means playing some computer games or watching a show on Netflix.
And special points for staying hydrated! I always make sure to have a glass of water or tea (honey rose, to be specific!) nearby while I’m studying. It helps keep me energized 💧🏇🏼 and alert so that I can stay focused on my studies.
And that’s it ‼️ This is pretty much the study session routine that helped me get those A+ grades! It’s helped me stay organized and motivated while in college, and I can’t recommend it enough.
